Human+Tech Week 2027
06The Human+AI Innovation Engine

From signal to scale: a working system.

The innovation engine

Signals, enablers, and labs.

Human+Tech Week connects signals, capital, and implementation labs to help move Human+AI innovation from idea toward deployment.

Signals

Since 2025

  • Summits

Major public events: panels, roundtables, keynotes, networking.

  • Symposiums and forums

Co-organized around AI, HR, leadership, and flourishing.

  • Partner events

80 decentralized gatherings in 2026, with 150 planned for 2027.

Enablers

  • Aggregated funding

    Venture plus non-dilutive capital.

Labs

New in 2027

  • Implementation Labs

Build and pilot for cities, enterprises, and institutions.

  • Luminary Labs

Expert-led challenge tracks focused on high-impact problems.

  • Inflection Labs

Growth-stage companies preparing for institutional deployment.

A possible pathway

From a defined need toward a pilot.

These stages show how participants can move an opportunity toward testing, funding, and implementation. Each initiative follows its own course.

  1. 01

    Empower demand centers

Hospitals, cities, and employers define problems and criteria.

  2. 02

    Enable builders

Innovators align to pre-qualified pilots and funding.

  3. 03

    Connect providers

Technology providers access demand centers and developers.

  4. 04

    Engage capital

C-suite and LP-style co-investors fund sprints, pilots, and implementations.

Capital can enter anywhere along the way.

The model in practice

A working session at Human+Tech Week: people at round tables with papers and laptops

The Whole Young Person Challenge.

A challenge defined with Breaking Barriers California, where Elizabeth Haas has convened agencies across 57 counties for twenty-five years around a whole-person response for ages zero to twenty-five. California invests roughly $30 billion in young people across four initiatives, each implemented separately, so a family in crisis meets a system that was never designed to see them whole. Technology companies are asked to show how they would serve every young person in California across all income brackets, connecting support around the whole young person.
