Human+Tech Week 2027
19Philanthropic

Fund the participation that makes the whole ecosystem stronger.

Philanthropic support brings nonprofit leaders, public agencies, frontline practitioners, researchers, and people with lived experience into the conversations shaping what technology should serve.

What support covers

  1. 01

    Nonprofit convening costs

Support the programming, facilitation, production, and participation costs of convenings developed with nonprofit and public-sector partners.

  2. 02

    Scholarship participation

Cover tickets, food, and overhead for people and communities whose participation is important to the conversation and would not otherwise be funded.

  3. 03

    Strategic nonprofit partners

Fund experienced nonprofit partners to help shape programming, bring the relevant community into the week, and contribute their subject-matter expertise.

How funding works

Human+Tech Week is a for-profit company. Eligible nonprofit programming and scholarship participation are administered through our fiscal sponsor, UI Charitable, the operating name of University Impact, a 501(c)(3) public charity classified under section 509(a)(1).

Grants are made to University Impact, EIN 82-1504018, and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Each funded program is scoped separately so the funder can see what its support covers.

What it makes possible

Philanthropic support allows nonprofit leaders, public servants, frontline practitioners, researchers, and people with lived experience to participate alongside builders, investors, and institutions on equal footing. Their knowledge makes the conversation more grounded and the resulting priorities more useful.

Strategic partners

Each pillar can include a nonprofit partner with deep knowledge of the field and strong relationships within the community. Philanthropic support covers the cost of that participation.
